Lea Michele would now be portraying Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl".

However, Lea Michele would join "Funny Girl" on September 6.

Until then, the lead role is with Julie Benko.

An elated Julie took her social media profile to declare herself "The luckiest standby in the world".
